Consultation
Some clients are well informed, practiced, and confident of their understanding of landscape design. These clients will call for a consultation to discuss one or more areas that they want built, installed, or renovated. We discuss their budget, and I share ideas and information that is helpful. This type of appointment is billed at an hourly rate of $85 per hour.
Consultation and Design Services
With an appointment for a consultation and design services, an in depth questionnaire is reviewed and both the client and I come to an understanding of what I will be hired to accomplish. A bid and proposal is prepared for the client's approval and work begins with a signed contract. These services are billed at an agreed upon price; comprised of the initial consultation, site survey, conceptual design, and other pre-determined services. These services usually include a detailed planting plan, and may include irrigation plans, lighting plans, and construction notes for hardscapes (concrete, natural stone, etc.), water features, shade structures, and outdoor kitchens.
Project Management
In most cases, once an approved design and design documents are in place, I turn the remainder of the project to the contractor/s and other professionals for installation. Often, a client wants to do some aspect of their own design installation. I do provide over sight on some projects and this is billed separately, on an hourly basis, at a rate of $85 per hour.
Smaller Projects
Not every project is big, or expensive. My design fees and project fees are very affordable. Smaller does not equate "less" and most of the above-mentioned services provided for a master plan are similar for a smaller project. Each project is a "one of a kind!" You deserve it and I will not offer anything less.
